#TrainForLifeEmpowermentCampaign Post 124: THE SCIENCE OF YOGA - Don't miss the link below to The Science of Yoga documentary. I have been teaching yoga for 20 years and it is one of the best documentaries I have ever watched. I taught 2 yoga classes this morning and was inspired to share it. The documentary reinforces that yoga is not just a workout but a work in. The asana is the physical side of yoga, but if you drop in and connect to your breath and the sensations of your body there is so much more to explore and discover. Yoga invites you to be fully present, to quiet the mind, to suspend judgment, to stay curious, and to have compassion for yourself... what a gift. Plus, research backs up the many mental, physical, and emotional benefits you gain by practicing yoga.

If you don't do yoga, try pausing, breathing, and connecting to the sensations in your body. Your body speaks to you in the form of sensation, and if you listen you will learn a lot about what you need. We are often guided by our thoughts, but invite the heart and body to have a voice and you might be guided in a different direction.... perhaps one that is even better.
